As with life, in fashion what’s on the inside counts as much as what’s on the outside, especially when it comes to lining. It brings comfort, helps garments slip on smoothly, and gives them a beautifully finished interior.
A tonal match keeps things understated; a bold color or print adds a personal touch. And lining doesn’t always have to stay on the inside—it can work beautifully as the garment itself. Think

I’m delighted to offer subscriber savings on our current edit of exceptional new Japanese-milled Bemberg cupro linings. They come to us from an NYC designer and are primo!
Cupro has a smooth, silky feel and beautiful drape, making it a lovely choice for lining or wearing on its own. It’s made from regenerated cotton cellulose, usually the fine fibers surrounding cotton seeds. These fibers are dissolved and reformed into fine threads, giving the finished fabric a softer, more fluid feel than ordinary cotton.
