I’m often asked whether OEKO-TEX®, LENZING™ ECOVERO™, and certified-organic fabrics are better choices. The short answer is yes—although each designation tells a different part of the story.
Some indicate that a textile is free of harmful substances. Others trace fibers to certified-organic farms or sustainably managed forests. Still others address environmental practices and working conditions throughout the production process.
No single label covers everything, but credible certifications and standards offer valuable assurance that a fabric has been made with greater care—for the people who produce it, the people who wear it, and the planet we all share.
