Beautiful basics may be the backbone of a well-balanced wardrobe, but prints are where sewing gets playful. They invite you to experiment with color and scale, mix things up, or give a favorite pattern a new personality.

I love having plenty on hand because the more prints in my stash, the more directions a design can go. Sometimes I start with the pattern. Sometimes I start with the fabric. And sometimes I pull out half my stash, cover the table with possibilities, and see what happens.
