Marcy Tilton Designer Fashion Fabrics

First seen in the 1920s as a quietly distinctive lining inside Burberry raincoats, the beige, black, white and red check—often called Nova—stepped into the spotlight in 1967, when a Paris store buyer used it to wrap luggage and create an umbrella cover.
Scarves followed in the 1970s, and a once-hidden detail became one of fashion’s most recognizable and sought-after motifs—timeless, traditional and forever inviting a fresh spin at the sewing table.
Today, I am delighted to offer subscribers a first-dibs discount on a pair of the classic check, available in two colorways.
