Today I am happy to bring you some spectacular new additions to the SILK COLLECTION on MARCYTILTON.com. Most are exclusive designer deadstock and many are from celebrated boho chic California fashion house Johnny Was.
Silk is the reigning queen of all fibers for good reasons. Silk somehow keeps us warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It is the strongest natural fiber on earth making silk delicate yet durable. In fact if you scaled a single silk thread up to the size of a steel beam, silk would be stronger. Most of all silk is soft, shiny and lustrous. This is due to the silk fiber’s prism-like triangular structure that reflects light at angles that magically makes it seem to shimmer.
