Hello Sewing Friends!
Today I am happy to bring you some new additions to the JAPANESE WOVENS COLLECTION. New notables include some wonderful cotton/linen blends featuring contemporary wabi sabi designs in different colorways.
In traditional Japanese aesthetics wabi sabi is a way of life that celebrates the natural beauty of the imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. This ethos can be found in all forms of Japanese art, especially textiles.
My wardrobe (and life) are filled with wabi sabi designs. One reason I love our wabi sabi Japanese wovens is that they crossover seamlessly between fashion and decor. Each season I sew a new bedscape by mixing different wabi sabi designs for duvet covers and pillow cases. The result is a contemporary casual look I love!
I truly hope you enjoy these amazing fabrics from Japan as much as I do!
Happy Sewing!
