Hello Sewing Friends!
Today I’m happy to bring you some new additions to the STRETCH WOVENS COLLECTION. Stretch wovens are the workhorse fabrics of ready-to-wear fashion. The main difference between knit vs woven fabrics is how they are constructed. Woven fabrics are made by weaving multiple threads over and under each other in a crisscross pattern. Knit fabrics are made of one strand of thread in interlocking loops. Stretch wovens come in an array of beautiful blends featuring both natural and semi-synthetic fibers. Thanks to today's textile technology, we have stretch cotton, linen and even silk. Some of the finest stretch wovens available are next-generation blends of rayon, nylon and spandex like those in our ACE selection of fabrics.
