Today I’m happy to bring you some sophisticated new PONTE KNITS. If you are new to sewing, ponte is one of the easiest fabrics to work with and wear. Also know as Ponte di Roma, it is a double-knit fabric first developed in Italy famous for being soft, stable and sturdy. It is said that ponte puts the ready in ready-to-wear.
Above is my new Autumn Leaves Jacket (Vogue 1817) made with our new AUTUMN LEAVES PONTE KNIT. I’ve shared some helpful sewing tips for this pattern on my blog. Below you’ll find a selection of sophisticated new styles featuring a series of subtle motifs including baroque florals, classic plaids, herringbone and leopard prints.
