Hello Sewing Friends!
Today I’m happy to bring you some new OEKO-TEX certified fabrics featuring both classic and contemporary prints. I’m often asked about the difference between Organic and Oeko-Tex certification. To be certified organic, fabrics such as cotton, wool, bamboo, hemp, flax and other natural fibers must be grown and produced under stringent standards that relate to the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Oeko-Tex certification is a guarantee that natural and synthetic fabrics have been processed without harmful chemicals. So where organic focuses on the field, Oeko-Tex focuses on the factory, or mill if you will. These are fabulous quality fabrics!
