Today I’m happy to bring you some elegant new French Terry knits. These sophisticated solids are smooth on the front and boast a beautiful drape. Flat loops on the back add substance, making for a mid-weight cotton knit that is perfect for fall. Think cardis, hoodies, light jackets and lots of lovely layering.

Also today, definitely do not miss seeing the exceptional ramie jacket made by one of our longtime sewing friends using VIEW FROM ABOVE, a smooth airy ramie woven that has been one of our most popular prints of the season.  "This is a Cutting Line Design pattern. I thought you might be interested to see how I managed figuring out where to place the pattern pieces. I hung the fabric on pants hangers on magnetic hooks on my suspended ceiling and took a picture of the whole piece. Then I scanned the pattern pieces from the directions and printed both out so they were in scale with each other. By hollowing out one set of pattern pieces I was able to move them around and experiment with different layouts. It took me four tries before I found what I wanted. This is two yards. I love this fabric and have big plans to wear it to my 50th high school reunion in a few weeks. "
